Under Maria Fruth’s leadership, HFL has accomplished significant initiatives to fulfill its mission. Working with a dedicated staff, engaged board, and community partners, Maria has solidified HFL’s strategic direction, implemented a grantmaking program, and oversaw capacity-building initiatives with nonprofit organizations.
In its first seven years, HFL has invested over $38 million in La Porte County nonprofits, all in line with the foundation’s vision to make La Porte one of Indiana’s top 10 healthiest communities by 2030.
