“We uncover solutions by finding the common ground between different perspectives. ”

Alexandria (“Alex”) Luttery, Marketing & Administrative Associate, is a curious, values-driven communicator who synthesizes research and operational systems-thinking to connect the dots for her team. She enjoys finding pockets of opportunity where creativity and strategy can work together to build solutions that are both innovative and operationally sound. Alex is engaged behind-the-scenes throughout the entire project management process of a search, from synthesizing stakeholder feedback to ordering background checks for finalists. Though the BoardWalk process is proven, every client’s needs are different. When a more bespoke approach for collaboration is needed, she is tasked with finding the solution.

Alex is also a core part of our marketing and communications strategy at BoardWalk, working to drive forward the initiatives set by the leadership team. Her background in copywriting and general marketing power our firm’s key touchpoints with clients, including on LinkedIn and via our newsletter, smorgasBoard.

Every aspect of her work in and outside of BoardWalk is centered around one mission: driving meaningful change by making systems more accessible, inclusive, and effective. This extends into the nonprofit missions that she’s most attracted to, such as those centered around improving early children’s education, creating access and economic mobility for low-income communities, and environmental justice and advocacy. During her time with the firm, she has supported searches like Union of Concerned Scientists, Southern Environmental Law Center, Sierra Club, Earthjustice, Georgia Innocence Project, and Voices for Georgia’s Children to name a few.

Outside of work hours, Alex volunteers with the Book Buddies program, a partnership between United Way of Greater Atlanta and the Single Parent Alliance & Resource Center (SPARC). Book Buddies aims to continue the literacy development of K-5 children in DeKalb County Public Schools by instilling a love of reading, as well as providing a positive role model in a child’s life.

In her spare time, Alex enjoys reading, baking, and traveling. She holds a bachelor's degree from Bennington College and looks forward to furthering her education in the future.
