Laura DiBacco Lovelace

“Two of the most satisfying aspects of this work are hearing a client say, 'Wow, you really listened to us' and seeing the leaders we place do great things for their organizations and communities. It’s thrilling to know I played a role in that.”

Laura DiBacco Lovelace, Senior Associate, has been a member of the BoardWalk team since 2012. Prior to joining BoardWalk, Laura was a relationship manager for a global corporate real estate association where she developed programming and engaged with hundreds of members worldwide.

Laura manages the life cycle of search including early meetings with staff and search committee to fully understand the culture and organizational needs of the nonprofit. As a researcher, she’s then responsible for developing the search database, sourcing industry leaders and finding prospects. Her social impact work includes The Women’s Fund of Greater Birmingham, Year Up sites from Miami to Seattle, City of Atlanta and Mother Emanuel Nine Memorial in Charleston.

Laura is also Level 1 and Level 2 certified in administering the Hogan Assessment which BoardWalk employs for leadership development and transition planning.

In both her personal and professional life, Laura is interested in how people interact and collaborate. A passionate traveler and cook, one of her greatest experiences was traveling alone to the Italian village where her grandfather was born and stumbling upon distant relatives who welcomed her to their home.

An Atlanta native, Laura and her husband enjoy exploring hole in the wall restaurants and renovating her childhood home. Laura is actively involved with her alma mater, Woodward Academy, and serves as an advisor for the Auburn University chapter of Delta Gamma Fraternity. She is a graduate from the University of Georgia and has degrees in French and Counseling.
