Margaret Conant Reiser (margaret@boardwalkconsulting.com) has worked at BoardWalk Consulting since 2002. Her focus is recruiting senior executives for nonprofits in Atlanta and the southeast, with a special expertise in recruiting leaders in philanthropy, social services, progressive religious organizations, and arts executives for both national and local positions. Her prior management experience in the nonprofit sector and earlier in banking and healthcare contributes to her passion for excellent leadership in the nonprofit arena.
As a volunteer, Margaret currently serves as the Board Chair of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, one of the nation’s leading orchestras. She is also a trustee and member of the Governance Committee of The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta, and President of the Harland Charitable Foundation, a family foundation located in Atlanta. An active member of the Advisory Board of Emory University’s Goizueta Business School, she also serves on the Advisory Boards of Columbia Theological Seminary, Literacy Action and Quality Care for Children. She is an Emeritus Trustee of the Westminster Schools and is a past Chairman of Families First and Georgia Shakespeare.
Margaret holds a B.A. degree in Economics from Duke University and an M.B.A. from Emory University. In 2002, Margaret received the Abby Award from the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce for Arts Volunteer of the Year in recognition of her long record of leadership with Georgia Shakespeare. She is a 1996 graduate of Leadership Atlanta and a member of the 2007 class of the YWCA of Metro Atlanta's Women of Achievement. Interests include hiking, golf, gardening and spending time with family and friends.
