Established in 1995 with proceeds from the sale of Alleghany Regional Hospital, the Foundation has awarded over $30 million in grants in support of area nonprofits and initiatives.  Mandate: Vice President for Development Guácimo, Limón, Costa Rica and Atlanta, GA EARTH, located in Guácimo, Limón, Costa Rica is a private, international, non-profit university dedicated to education in the agricultural sciences and natural resources in order to contribute to sustainable development in the tropics by seeking a balance between agricultural production and environmental preservation.
